French menswear label Drôle de Monsieur extends the aesthetic and intellectual boundaries of ‘90s-inspired streetwear. Driven by an unequivocal love for clothing and comfort, creative directors Dany Dos Santos and Maxime Schwab founded the brand in 2014 with no traditional design experience. Outsiders within the Parisian fashion landscape, the duo’s refreshing perspective as Dijon natives is reflected in the brand’s unconventional collections. Slouchy silhouettes feature intertwining pale tones that evoke the skateboarding culture of a bygone Venice Beach. Understated core pieces like hoodies, shorts, and T-shirts are carefree and versatile, while colorblocked caps and polos, floral camp shirts, and zip-up track jackets are contemporary pieces that nod to streetwear history.
