In 2005 NOMA t.d. was launched in Tokyo by Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki. They are signified by the original hand-drawn textiles that are produced in every collection. 

By implementing traditional techniques and artisan skills, NOMA t.d. blends traditional into contemporary. The product range has expanded interiors and arts, as well as exhibition curation and publishing projects featuring other artists including painters and photographers.

There’s nothing new under the sun. What’s new is actually old and has been used and reused ad nauseam. Nowadays, we no longer invent originals, we introduce pre-existent relics—which is a tautology, a constant repetition. The compulsive desire to repeat is the relentless reality we live in. It minimizes agitation in the hopes of molding a story that leads to a novel way of living (and dressing).
